Dear Iowa IPL supporters,
Your financial gifts and advocacy efforts during 2015 have made a significant difference in the work of Iowa Interfaith Power & Light and our efforts to engage and equip people of faith to become leaders in addressing the environmental and social justice consequences of climate change.
This has been a historic year for progress on climate action:
- Pope Francis issued his encyclical on the environment and addressed the U.S. Congress.
- The federal government released the Clean Power Plan, the first-ever rules to limit carbon pollution from power plants.
- And this month in Paris, representatives from 195 nations reached a landmark accord that for the first time commits every country to lower greenhouse gas emissions.
But there is still much to do.
There is an urgency to our task to address climate change and as people of faith we speak on behalf of those who are most vulnerable in our society, including our children, our grandchildren and future generations. We know that climate change is exacerbating issues on which congregations are already working—hunger, clean water, and disaster relief, to name just a few. It is our role to help others connect the dots between climate change, its impacts and its solutions.
Today, we are asking you to support Iowa IPL with your year-end giving and take a leadership role in addressing the moral consequences of climate change.
We now have three ways for you to make your tax-deductible donation to Iowa IPL:

With your financial support, Iowa IPL will be able to continue fulfilling this important mission.
