Have the Paris talks inspired you to reduce your carbon emissions in your daily life?

Iowa IPL’s educational workshops offer the resources you need to cut the carbon in your own life and congregation.

Cool Congregations is a training workshop for green teams, or wannabe green teams, to learn how to help their fellow congregants cut their carbon at home as an act of faith. It’s like making a tithe to the earth! In this workshop we look a little at climate change and how our faith traditions call us to respond with practical solutions. We measure our own carbon footprints and find ways to reduce. Then we focus on how to help your fellow congregants reduce their carbon emissions through the Cool Congregations program in your own congregation. It’s a great way to build community, build your green team, and care for creation.

Food • Faith • Climate: Connecting the Dots is for anyone who would like to cut the carbon from their food practices. Carbon emissions that is! We look at how our food practices contribute to climate change, and how our faith traditions call us to respond with practical solutions. Then we look at our own food practices and create a plan for more climate-friendly actions.
