This October, Colonel Lawrence Wilkerson toured Central Iowa, speaking about climate change and national security. Wilkerson is Distinguished Visiting Professor of Government and Public Policy at the College of William & Mary and Professorial Lecturer on National Security Affairs, George Washington University Honors Program. An expert in foreign policy, Wilkerson is a retired United States Army Colonel and former chief of staff to Secretary of State Colin Powell. Wilkerson currently participates with Department of Defense and Homeland Security staff in the Climate Security Working Group. A member of the Republican Party, he is a regular expert commentator on television news talk shows providing analysis and opinion.
