Unite as Iowans of faith and conscience – Take climate action this Earth Day!
Join Iowa Interfaith Power & Light and their partners with the Clean Up MidAm campaign on Monday, April 22nd from 3:30pm-5:00pm beginning at St. Paul’s Episcopal Cathedral rain garden for a powerful call to climate action. Unite as Iowans of faith and conscience to urge MidAmerican Energy to close their coal plants and support a just energy transition by 2030.
Event highlights will include:
- Reflections, prayers, and liturgy for climate action rooted in faith
- Sharing the message that people of faith and conscience care about clean air and water, a just energy transition, and our coal communities
- Educating the public about MidAmerican Energy’s continued use of coal in Iowa
This event is free and open to the public. We encourage people of all ages to attend, as this is a family-friendly event!
