Iowa Interfaith Power & Light Chapters

Iowa Interfaith Power & Light is forming chapters around the state of Iowa in regions where there are groups of active congregations.

An Iowa IPL Chapter is a city-wide interfaith “green team” made up of members from local congregations and religious organizations. It’s a mutually beneficial relationship between Iowa IPL and the local chapter with Iowa IPL sharing resources to support regional work on climate and local chapters encouraging the involvement of local congregations in the work of Iowa IPL.

The purpose of an Iowa IPL chapter is to build and strengthen regional networks of people of faith wanting to act together to heal the climate. Members of these chapters will offer one another mutual support, resources, and encouragement through regular meetings and through joint planning of events.
