Alli is just beginning her career journey, but holds a strong passion for environmental justice and sustainability. She has previous non-profit experience from her time working at the Science Center of Iowa, and also worked as a religious life intern on Simpson College’s campus.

Alli graduated from Simpson College in December 2019 with a B.A. in English and a minor in Environmental Science.

She enjoys reading, hiking, biking, practicing yoga, playing piano, and binge-watching old episodes of Survivor in her spare time. Her favorite animal is the bumblebee. Alli lives with her partner, Lucas, in Indianola with their two cats: Maddox and Mitzi.

So when Iowa IPL decided to host a book club event for Katharine Hayhoe’s new book, Saving Us: A Climate Scientist’s Case for Hope and Healing in a Divided World, I was ecstatic to do what I do best: read something and then talk about it.
