Start a Green Team at Your Congregation
Starting a Green Team is the most powerful way for your congregation to care for the Earth.
Comprised of three or more motivated members, Green Teams meet regularly to connect your faith community’s spiritual practices and traditions with concerns for our shared land, water, and air, and justice for our neighbors.
Green Teams educate their members, motivate their faith community to incorporate environmental consciousness into all activities, and celebrate accomplishments.
Iowa IPL staff work alongside the Green Team to put programs into action that promote a healthy planet for our neighbors and future generations.

Host or Attend an Iowa IPL Program
Iowa IPL has three signature programs that help you make a personal plan to be part of the climate solution!
A workshop to train Green Teams to help the members of their congregation care for the earth by reducing their energy use.
Examine how our food practices contribute to climate change and how our faith traditions call us to take practical steps to be part of the solution. Look at our own food practices and create a plan for more climate-friendly actions.
Learn how our cultural obsession with STUFF is driving climate change and reflect on what faith traditions have to say about the Good Life. Participants examine their own ideas about the Good Life, and create a plan for a more joyful life that is easier on the planet.
